What our customers say about us

Here's what people are saying about FUBUI.

Hi, I'm Andy P., I'm NOT embarrassed of where I've been or what I've gone through. In fact, EVERYTHING that I have experienced has made me who I am today. Out of 24 years, I've been blessed to have had 21 1/2 years of sobriety, unfortunately I had 3 relapses in that time. The relapses were a direct result of losing focus on my sobriety and taking back the reigns from God in my life. Today, I'm once again grateful to be 22 months clean and sober. Oh, I have one heck of a story to tell, some of you have heard it, some of you might heard about it, but one thing is sure, I'm not ashamed any longer, I'm proud of who I am today, and thankful that God chose to allow me another opportunity to live. My relapses have been VERY public and that's okay with me.

My story:
Short and sweet:
Raised in the projects right here on Charleston's west side, my mom raised my two siblings and me the best she could. At age 12, I began smoking weed, 13 and up I used alcohol, pills, LSD, etc. At age 16 I tried Cocaine for the first time, later that year, I started using Crack Cocaine regularly, I witnessed my first murder that year, I was buying crack off a dealer in Littlepage Terrace (Don Juan) from NYC, Steph was with him. a beef ensued over who would serve me, I didn't care, the other guy I didn't know, but he pulled a gun, shot Don Juan 2 times, turned and ran. Steph, instead of helping him or shooting back at the "bad guy", he simply reached in Don Juan's pocket, got his dope, took the chain off his neck and left him there where he died at my feet.

It seemed my life got very dark after that event, I began living strictly for the high, neglecting responsibilities and no longer caring. I came out of that for a while, trying Treatment at a local center, started meetings, but still wasn't finished, started donating what I could to start families, mostly sperm if you ask my ex's,

don't get me wrong I love all my children dearly, but I admit I wasn't a very good father. Many jobs, professions and marriages later, I have become who I am today, some like/love me, others loathe me, either way I'm good, I love me today, and that's what counts.

Jails more than 40 times, prison twice, the loneliness, embarrassment that comes with each vain attempt at trying one more time. Addiction/Alcoholism is a disease, a deadly disease if you don't learn to live with it in remission. One Day At A Time.

During my sobriety time I've accomplished many things including; becoming and LPN (licensed practical nurse), Certified Gang Specialist (WV's ONLY certified gang specialist), Founded and developed WV's only gang prevention program (Chain Breakers), a couple local TV shows, lots of recognition, impacted 1000's of lives, built bridges between law enforcement and community, and so much more. It seems I, as an addict am the absolute best at whatever I choose to do, the trick has been to choose to be healthy in the choices of what I want to do in life.

Today, I'm clean and serene, maybe not where I want to be in life, but at least I'm not where I used to be. Everyone of you can accomplish anything you want to, don't let anyone tell you anything different. If you are currently suffering an addiction, ask for help, humble yourself, everyone around you knows anyway. Someone is waiting for an opportunity to help you right now.

I'm not finished growing, I can do anything I want to, and there are some things I'm wanting to do, so be sure to stay tuned, nothing but good things to come.

Crihfield helping people get second chace with Master Publication Services

Anthony Crihfield is helping give people a second chance, just as he has been given a second chance.

After serving a tree-year prison sentence in Florida, Crihfield came home to Jackson County and opened Master Publication Services, a magazine telemarketing firm, at 127 Court Street in September. His office employs 11 people in two shift, earning an hourly wage plus commission, and operates 10am-10pm

Crihfield said serving prison time was exactly what he needed as opposed to being bailed out. It helped him get his life in order. Now he wants to help others in his home county-a county with drug problems that has lost several young people to drug overdoses-do the same.

To that end, he’s employing individuals on probation or serving alternative sentencing though the local Day Report Center and Magistrate Court. He also coordinates with West Virginia Works. Not All of Crihfield’s employees are second-chancers, but he says about 90 percent are.

“We’re doing tremendous well here” he said.” My goal is to fill our office here to capacity with workers.”

“I want to give those who have been convicted or who are on probation the chance to work”, Crihfield said.

“they need to be re-invented as I was. Rather than being re-incarcerated. I also want to hep former addicts get their lives on the right track. There can be a lot of success stories out there. We’ve got to love these people and pry for them and rehab them.

”Many of Crihfield’s employees undergo weekly drug screenings and attend NA meeting at the BoMar Club.

Crihfield is hoping to open additional offices in Parkersburg, Pt. Peasant and Charleston. He’s also looking at establishing an office in Florida. He’s also interested in establishing a halfway house locally.

I was very surprised when I got to work one morning and my co-worker remember it was my birthday with a surprise party.... the cake was really good.
